Following an increased demand for high quality free range Norfolk Black Turkeys, Simon and Karen O'Malley established The Black Turkey Company Ltd in 2008. Since that time, the farming family have relocated to Chestnut Farm in the heart of Norfolk's rural countryside to continue breeding and producing free range Norfolk Black Turkeys for Christmas.
We were fortunate to acquire Chestnut Farm, a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse, full of historic interest, situated in the heart of Norfolk's rural countryside. Whilst expanding and enjoying our farming activities, we are busy renovating the family home.
Along with our two children, we yield over 30 years of combined experience in poultry care, management and processing. Our independent family business of retailing free range poultry prides itself in ensuring high animal welfare standards.
Recognised as a slow maturing breed, our Norfolk black turkeys are hatched on the farm in the Spring and naturally reared to full maturity. Once humanely slaughtered, our turkeys are hand plucked and hung for ten days to enhance their wonderful flavour.
